“ We came for an ER visit and we're there for hours. We found out they had a cafeteria. The options were good. Sandwiches, pizza, chips, Salad, etc. Pricing was reasonable. And the food was good. ”
“ Oasis in a cafeteria... It's basically the vibe it bring as soon as I walked in as this massive space was so thoughtfully planned out with beautiful lighting and various types of seating areas weather you're hungry or just need a break with a bit of "recharge" this is a phenomenal place. Now what cafeteria boasts having a Starbucks...yup with all the cups and yummies, whenever I do a late night search for a Starbucks on the app that's open this is the only location that gives the green light, though for obvious reasons the cafeteria is open 24hrs Starbucks is open until 1:30am. Besides a Starbucks is a beautiful you need to check out their mini food court, a "pizza" section by the slice or a whole pie, "simmer" where you can get comfort in a bowl with some hot soup today it was Garden Vegetable and Bacon Corn Chowder, "Bistro" is the hot stuff...burgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, and "sips" which is a self serve station for drinks. There's an impressive section filled with grab and go drinks and snacks for easy traveling. I wished that I could take more pics of this awesome cafeteria but with someone in each corner I respectfully didn't want to do that but appreciate the lovely service given here making it a great place to relax and chill. Thank you! ”
“ I came here to check out the Starbucks, but noticed it was a whole dining hall and the food looked pretty good. I got here late about 1:30pm, so a lot of the food stations were already closed. They did have some entrees and sides left over. I got the huli huli chicken entree $6.29 and a side of their potatoes $2.29. The food was good, especially for cafeteria food. The sauce for the chicken was on the sweeter side. It tasted more like teriyaki chicken than huli huli chicken. It lacked that char flavor. The dining room is beautiful. It's huge, bright, comfy and has charging stations for your electronics. I need to come here more often. ”
“ I have never had a really bad experience here yet. The doctors, nurses, any medical help or attention needed that I've had so far was met. My room was always cleaned and organized and filled with resources or supplies that I needed. The food was good. I got to try out the new cafe. I don't have much to say as I already did the initial review but all I have to say is KMCWC is always gonna be my #1 choice still. ”
“ Wow, I remember when I was in a hospital and the food was terrible, not here. Kapiolani Medical Center Cafeteria has a fresh new look with lots of choices, from salads and soups, hot entrees, and a burger station. Prices are very reasonable and I enjoyed everything we ate here. The staff is helpful and friendly. Plus, you can sit inside or go outside and have a nice view of Central Union Church and get some fresh air! Highly recommended to anyone who is hungry. They have many healthy options which is always a plus. ”
“ Been here more times than I would like to admit. The staff are awesome, the cashiers always treat my son so well when they see him. One of them know he goes to speech therapy or she'll stop by about table and practice sounds with him. Menu varies day to day. Some days are really good, other times not so much. In all honesty though, I love hospital food. My faves so far: 1. Sushi bar day- I can easily spend a lot. Choices are usually ahi, salmon, kampachi. 2. Breakfast loco moco with fried rice. The gravy is bomb, I always ask for a little extra. Starbucks is always a plus, but the line gets long quickly. But whenever we're at Kapiolani for my little ones appointment you can bet we'll find our way to the cafeteria. ”
“ One of the best cafeterias for a hospital I ever been to. They also have a Starbucks side which sells a really nice variety of Starbucks cups! Just wanted to add that the starbucks there does not redeem stars. Their food here is pretty good for hospital food. They have certainly stepped hospital food game up! I came here with my son before his doctors appointment and we were hungry. We skipped breakfast. So we got the loco moco with a side of bacon. The bacon was good and the loco moco wasnt too bad! The patty was obviously previously frozen and premade, but it wasnt bad. The gravy was really good. And we got out eggs over easy which was nicely cooked. Can't complain about hospital food here! ”
“ Checked out The Cafeteria @ Kapiolani Medical Center on 3/22/2021 Monday. Had to get something for EAT for my dinner for the night so I popped into the cafe Kapiolani Medical Center, they had 3 choices on entree on the hotline and I ordered the "Garlic Rosemary Chicken (boneless chicken they used)" had it with brown rice and mixed roasted veggies (the Veggies was on POINT, bruh it had green bell peppers, squash, zucchini, asparagus I believe) Food - Garlic Rosemary chicken cake with 2 boneless fillets size portion for the regular plate along with ur choice of starch which I got brown rice and also a serving of Veggies (roasted mix veggies) price for the regular plate was under $8.00 so I guess It was reasonable. Would I recommend this entree to other customers "Yes Of course" Customer service - The dude who helped me behind the counter with my Garlic Rosemary chicken plate seemed like he either is having a ruff shift or something, No smile and I asked him about if they had LOCO MOCO available and I even asked twice cause I couldn't hear what he was saying back to me, Idk if he was saying they *Ran out of HAMBURGER PATTY's Or *No one too COOK at the moment So I just I order garlic rosemary chicken plate. On a good note - CASHIER STAFF SAMUEL was a COOL worker helped me with checking out at the register and also gave me a heads up if I needed HOT SAUCE etc. He even told me the TIMES of the cafeteria very clearly when I asked how late their open. Thanks to CAFE STAFF Samuel you deserve a additional break and a LOCO Moco for ur break (chee) But yah probably NEXT TIME I can order my LOCO MOCO. Also their cafe dinning area is so BIG bruh it's like LOTS of tables and chairs and also they have outdoor sitting. Good for social distancing. What else should I type up? Ohh their CAFE is 24hrs Thor hotline closes at 1AM or till food RUNS out according to what Samuel told me. Also their grill closes at 2am. Good to know kind stuffs. ”
“ Waiting for my wife to get out of her procedure at Kapiolani Hospital. Decided to head down to the cafeteria to kill some time. I haven't been to this hospital for awhile they moved there Cafeteria to the new side when they renovated a few years ago. Very nice and spacious and there open 24hrs. Also they do have a Starbucks as well yay but I forgot to find out if there independent or affiliated with Starbucks. Like Queens you cannot earn points or pay by your points because there separate from corporate Starbucks. Due to Covid19 they have self service counter for utensils, fork and spoon dispenser and Ketchup and mustard pumps . I really like this cafeteria and dining room and of course my Starbucks. Support local and be safe ”
